Circular economy

Through its urban waste management solutions, ACCIONA seeks to speed up the implementation of a circular economy model that places care for the resources used and how to produce them at the center.

ACCIONA provides organic and recyclable waste collection and transport services and optimizes the recycling, reuse, reduction, and recovery of urban solid waste, including compost production.

Waste collection and street cleaning services in municipalities in Spain, such as Madrid, Alcobendas, and Calpe, which benefit more than 1.37 million inhabitants.

850,000 tons of urban waste treated each year in energy recovery plants, which generated 619 MWh of electricity.

Electric mobility

ACCIONA would like to help citizens play their role too, offering sustainable, shared, and low-carbon mobility. In 2030, 35% of passenger vehicles will be electric, and light electric vehicles a solution to reduce CO₂ emissions, traffic jams, noise, and the lack of leisure spaces in cities.

The company currently offers the largest shared mobility network in the world, a shared electric motorcycle service available in eight European cities.
